Whatever license got you driving back home works here too — Guam doesn't layer an International Driving Permit requirement on top of a valid foreign license. One catch worth flagging before you book: the counter needs the physical card. A scan on your phone won't cut it.

Eighteen is the line — once you're a licensed driver past that age, the booking flow lets you straight through.

None. The rate you're quoted doesn't change with your age — an 18-year-old and a 40-year-old pay the same for the same car. That's worth mentioning because plenty of rental companies abroad quietly tack on a "young driver" surcharge for renters in their early twenties. Ours doesn't.

What do I need to rent a car?

Once you're booked, what's left is showing up with three things: your license, a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or Diners), and your passport. One wrinkle — if the card on the reservation isn't in the driver's name, we'll need the cardholder's passport at the counter too.

Can I rent without a credit card?

Accepted Answer

No — the booking and the checkout both run on a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or Diners). Cash, debit, prepaid cards, and traveler's checks all get turned down at the counter. A $100 refundable deposit also goes on that card when you collect the vehicle. It comes back off once the rental wraps up and the car checks out undamaged.

What is included in the car rental fee?

Whatever price the booking screen shows already has the car and the liability insurance baked in — nothing extra shows up later for either of those. Mileage is unlimited too, so a road trip across the island won't trigger a surprise charge. That included insurance tops out at $100,000 for one injured person, $300,000 total per accident, and $50,000 for property damage. Want more headroom than that? CDW, ZDW, and NOC are all bookable as add-ons.

Are there any restrictions on installing a child safety seat?

Guam law ties the seat type to the child — an infant seat for the smallest ones, a convertible seat for toddlers, and a booster once they've outgrown that. We carry all three, and you can add one when you make your reservation. Pricing shifts with the season, so rather than quote a number here that might already be stale, the Rates & Options page will have whatever's current.

Is the cost of gasoline included in the rental fee?

Fuel is the one running cost the quoted price doesn't cover. The car goes out full, and the deal is you bring it back full too. Fall short of that and we'll fill it ourselves and bill you from our rate card — which, once the handling charge lands on top, costs a fair bit more than a five-minute stop at a station on your way in.

Do you offer hotel or airport pick-up and drop-off?

Hotels around Tumon get a free round-trip shuttle to and from us — worth checking the rental guide for which ones qualify. The airport itself is a different story — nobody's waiting for you at arrivals. From Guam International to the Tumon Main Office runs about 1.8 miles (2.8km), which a taxi covers in roughly 10 minutes for somewhere around $20. A tip of about 10% is the going rate. Hang onto that taxi receipt, though — show it when you settle your bill and $15 comes off the rental. No receipt, no discount, and it won't stack with anything else running at the same time. Heading the other direction at the end of your trip costs nothing — we'll drop you at the airport free of charge.

Can you bring a rental car to my hotel?

Delivery isn't something we do — the paperwork and the key handover happen in person at the Tumon Main Office. If your hotel is in the Tumon area, the free shuttle already mentioned takes care of getting you there without needing a car of your own first.

Is there a place to park my car at night?

Accepted Answer

Your hotel's own lot is almost certainly free, which covers nearly every property on the island — street parking is rarely worth the trouble of hunting for. The one habit worth keeping regardless: don't leave anything valuable sitting in plain view inside the car overnight.

Is the rental car an automatic transmission (AT) car?

Accepted Answer

Every car in the fleet is automatic. Manual transmission simply isn't part of it, so there's nothing to filter for.

Can I specify the car model and color?

A reservation locks in a class of car, not a specific make, model, or color — the actual vehicle gets assigned from within that class on the day you show up. If there's a model you're hoping for, it's fine to mention it at pickup, but the booking confirmation isn't a promise of that exact car.

Are children included in the passenger capacity?

Accepted Answer

They do — a child in the car counts toward capacity exactly like an adult would, regardless of how young they are. Something to factor in when choosing a class: leave enough room for a car seat if your group has a child who'll need one.

Can I ride in the bed of a pickup truck?

Accepted Answer

Nothing in Guam law forbids it, but we'd still rather everyone stayed in the cab — it's simply the safer way to ride.

Are rental cars non-smoking?

Accepted Answer

Non-smoking, across the whole fleet, no exceptions. If a car comes back with a smoke smell strong enough that it can't go straight out to the next booking, a cleaning charge follows.

Nothing extra to click during booking — automobile liability insurance rides along with every rental automatically. It covers up to $100,000 for any one person you injure, $300,000 total if an accident hurts more than one, and $50,000 for property damage. Beyond that range, CDW, ZDW, and NOC are each available separately if you want them.

What is the cost if I have an accident?

A $150 legal processing fee is the one constant — it applies the moment there's an accident, no matter whose fault it was or what coverage you booked. Past that, going without CDW and ZDW means up to $1,000 of the repair bill lands on you (the rest is capped at $50,000 total). Skip NOC and the loss-of-use charge is yours too — $250 if the car's still rentable, $400 if it isn't. Carry none of the optional coverage and the exposure widens considerably from there, which is really the whole case for adding it if peace of mind matters to you.

Can I raise the liability insurance limit included in the rental fee?

No — the $100,000/$300,000/$50,000 figures that come bundled into every rental stay fixed. There's no checkout option to pay more and push those numbers higher. What CDW, ZDW, and NOC actually do is cover different territory entirely — vehicle repair costs and loss-of-use charges rather than liability — so they're worth adding for extra protection even though they don't touch these particular limits.

Can I drive a rental car to Ritidian Beach?

Accepted Answer

We'd rather you didn't make the drive. There have been crime reports targeting tourists in that area, the road surface is rough enough to raise real odds of a flat tire, and cell service can vanish entirely if something goes wrong. Still want to see it? A local guided tour gets you there without putting a rental car — or yourself — at that kind of risk.
